About the Charity

Halsway Manor is operated by the Halsway Manor Society – a charity registered in England and Wales, registration no. 247230.

Charitable Purpose

Support and encourage people of all ages and abilities to enjoy, explore and learn about folk arts and folk traditions found in England and further afield. This includes traditional folk music, dance and song, storytelling, folklore and arts and crafts.

Maintain Halsway Manor as a centre of excellence for people to participate in these activities.

Aims and Objectives

  • To galvanise Halsway Manor as the National Centre for Folk Arts

  • To deepen our relationship with audiences enabling more people to engage with new experiences

  • Be the premier centre for the development of young folk practitioners

  • To provide an opportunity for children and young people to take part in high quality cultural education
